**Khosa Granted Permission to Travel Abroad**
**Islamabad, May 12, 2022:** The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and lawyer Latif Khosa to travel abroad, despite his name being on the Exit Control List (ECL). Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani presided over the hearing of Khosa’s petition challenging the inclusion of his name in the ECL.
**Challenging Inclusion in the ECL**
During the court proceedings, the prosecutor revealed that Khosa’s name was added to the ECL due to a pending case against him. The court, led by Justice Kayani, questioned the rationale behind placing Khosa’s name on the ECL, expressing concerns about the possibility of him fleeing the country and not returning.
**Scheduled Flight to Canada**
In response, Khosa informed the court about his scheduled flight to Canada on Friday. The court then instructed him to submit an affidavit in the trial court, ensuring his commitment to appear before the court whenever summoned. Following this assurance, the IHC granted him permission to travel abroad.
**Case of Holding a Protest**
It came to light during the proceedings that a case related to holding a protest outside the Supreme Court had been registered against Latif Khosa at the Secretariat Police Station.
