Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with COAS Asim Munir, DPM Ishaq Dar, and Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, made a visit to the frontline Pasrur Garrison on May 14. The PM addressed soldiers, praising the armed forces for their recent victory over India and their efforts during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. He commended the troops for avenging the 1971 war and highlighted their bravery and professionalism during the decisive battle against India.

During his visit, Sharif took the opportunity to criticize Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and interfering in the country’s internal affairs. He warned India not to cross Pakistan’s red lines, particularly concerning the Indus Waters Treaty, and emphasized that Pakistan is ready for peace but will not hesitate to respond to any aggression.

The prime minister also acknowledged the military leadership, especially General Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, for their strategic planning and coordination during the conflict. He praised the Pakistan Air Force for their efforts in neutralizing enemy fighter jets and highlighted Pakistan’s advanced military capabilities in both conventional and technical warfare. Sharif expressed pride in the recent military performance, stating that it had become a source of pride for friendly countries and would be studied by military experts for years to come.
