Civil and military officials in Pakistan held a press conference on Friday to point fingers at India for a recent terrorist attack in Khuzdar, Balochistan. They claimed that the banned Baloch group, Fitna al-Hindustan, sponsored by India, was responsible for the attack on an Army Public School bus that resulted in the tragic loss of six lives, including three children. The press conference was attended by Interior Secretary Captain (retd) Khurram Muhammad Agha and Director General of the DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry in Islamabad on May 23, 2025.

Blaming India for the attack, Captain Agha condemned the cowardly act and promised a decisive response from Pakistan. He emphasized that the incident was not an isolated act of terror but a deliberate strike on Pakistan’s educational values and traditions. The Interior Secretary also mentioned that India’s proxies, now targeting soft civilian targets like schoolchildren, were instructed to do so after military failures in the region, particularly after Operation Sindoor.

Highlighting India’s alleged history of state-sponsored terrorism against Pakistan for over two decades, DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry mentioned previous instances where evidence was presented to the Indian Prime Minister and the United Nations. He also referenced the case of Indian naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav and recent terrorist confessions as evidence of Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan. The DG ISPR detailed a series of attacks allegedly directed by India in Balochistan, leading up to the recent attack in Khuzdar, where women and children were targeted, signaling a shift in India’s strategy. During the briefing, images and video footage of the slain children were shown to the media.
