Security Forces Neutralize 30 Khwarji Extremists in Three K-P Operations
In a decisive blow to terrorism, security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have eliminated 30 Khwarji extremists across three separate operations, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
The first operation unfolded in Lakki Marwat district, where the security forces, acting on intelligence, engaged the terrorists head-on. A fierce confrontation ensued, resulting in the deaths of eighteen Khwarij and injuries to six others. The swift and effective response of the troops showcased their unwavering determination to combat terrorism.
Moving on to the District Karak, another operation was launched following actionable intelligence reports. Security forces swiftly engaged the militants, leading to the neutralization of eight Khwarij. This operation demonstrated the strategic importance of intelligence-driven tactics in countering extremist threats.
The third encounter took place in the general area of Bagh, Khyber District, where security forces successfully eliminated four Khwarji extremists, including the notorious ring leaders Aziz ur Rehman, also known as Qari Ismail, and Mukhlis. Two additional militants were injured during this operation, underscoring the commitment of security forces to dismantling terrorist networks.
Significantly, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants, linking them to various terrorist activities targeting both security forces and innocent civilians in the region. This discovery further underscores the urgency of eradicating such threats to restore peace and security to Pakistan.
Looking ahead, security forces have reaffirmed their dedication to rooting out any remaining terrorists in the area, emphasizing their unwavering commitment to eliminating terrorism and fostering peace within the nation. This resolute stance stems from a year of remarkable achievements, with the Pakistan Army conducting a record 59,775 intelligence-based operations in 2024. This relentless pursuit resulted in the elimination of 925 terrorists, including 73 high-value targets—the highest number of neutralized militants in the past five years.
As the nation continues its fight against extremism, these recent operations stand as a testament to the bravery and dedication of the security forces in safeguarding the peace and stability of Pakistan. With each successful mission, they move closer to achieving their ultimate goal of a secure and prosperous future for all citizens.
