fast-track-passport-services-expanded-to-26-new-cities

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has made a groundbreaking announcement, expanding its ‘Fast Track’ passport service to 26 new cities, bringing the total number of locations offering the service to 47 across the country.

Efficient Passport Processing for All

Originally available in just seven major cities including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, and Quetta, the Fast Track service has now been extended to additional regions, making expedited passport processing more accessible to the public. This expansion is a significant step towards streamlining the passport application process and reducing waiting times for applicants.

Extensive Network of Service

The newly included cities in the Fast Track service network are Attock, Haripur, Chakwal, Batkhela, Sargodha, Swabi, Bhalwal, Nowshera, Hafizabad, Karak, Mianwali, Mansehra, Bhakar, Muzaffarabad, Kohat, Mirpur (AJK), DI Khan, Bagh, Swat, Rawalakot, Abbottabad, Kotli, Bannu, Sudhanoti, Hangu, and Bhimber. This broadens the reach of the Fast Track service to more areas, ensuring a more efficient passport application process for citizens in these regions.

Enhancing Public Access

The Directorate General has instructed zonal heads to swiftly implement the Fast Track services in the newly added locations. The Director (Databases) has also been assigned the task of updating the Passport Processing System (PPS) to reflect these changes and incorporate the new cities into the Fast Track category. This proactive approach aims to ensure a seamless transition and widespread awareness of the expanded service.

With this strategic move, the Directorate General is committed to providing faster and more efficient passport processing, ultimately benefiting applicants in the newly added cities by significantly reducing waiting times and improving overall accessibility to expedited passport services.
